At some point in our lives, we all find ourselves in a chapter we hadn’t planned to write. Sometimes those chapters are beautiful and amazing so full of joy and bliss. Other times those chapters are dark and cold and empty full of pain and sorrow in degrees you hadn’t thought possible.

We often find ourselves surrounded by family and friends and overall wonderful things as we travel through these beautiful times we don’t ever seem to be alone. When we find ourselves in the not so beautiful ones we tend to find ourselves there alone, even when we are not actually alone.

I have been on more than one of those dark chapters in my 33 years of life and although not every one of those chapters was written completely alone, at some point along the way I found myself feeling as though I was alone. I know what it is like to have to travel through the dark alone and struggle to find the light. To feel as though no one out there could ever understand.

Every road is different and no two stories are the same but it opens a whole new world when you find someone who has had a story close to yours. I have a lot of stories….33 chapters have been written and they are not all happy ones.

At some point, I decided I didn’t want others to suffer alone in the dark as I once did. I decided I wanted to tell my story one chapter at a time. I want others to know they are not alone even when they feel as though they are. I don’t have all the answers nor do I have the ability to fix all of the issues but I do have stories to tell and wisdom to share.

I just want to be a light in the middle of someone’s dark chapter so they don’t have to make the whole journey alone. Here I will share my stories and thoughts and rants on the things that affect my life along with the lives of others. The things that no one wants to talk about. The real-life hard stuff. I promise however that it won’t all be dark and gloomy as my story isn’t all dark and gloomy.

I hope that some of you out there can read these pages and find the light because even though you may not see it now I promise you it is there and I am here to help you find it.
