“Through Violet Eyes” explores themes of power, control, and the ethics of using one’s abilities. The novel combines elements of mystery, thriller, and speculative fiction, with a focus on personal and societal struggles.
This science fiction novel is set in a future where a group of people possesses a unique and rare ability: the ability to see into the minds of others through their eyes. These individuals are called “Seers,” and their power is both a gift and a curse.
Seers can see memories and thoughts through the eyes of the people they are connected to, but this also means they are vulnerable to manipulation and invasion of their own thoughts.
The story begins when Rhi, a Seer who works as a private investigator, is called to investigate a series of mysterious deaths. As she delves deeper into the case, she uncovers a web of intrigue involving powerful individuals and dark secrets.
This was a fast-paced read with a very unique story that was easy to follow. This book got me out of a reading slump more than once.
I learned years later he wrote a few more that I think ( I am not sure) follow this same story.
“The only thing worse than being hunted is being found.”
